It's contract renewal time. Let me show you how to add a new license.
Two account types can use a license: Limit by Account and Limit by Content. Adding new licenses to both of these are simple but slightly different.
Let's start with Limit by Account.
Navigate to the account you want to add a new license to, clicking on that account will bring you to the Account Details page. Find the License section at the bottom of the screen and click Add.
You will be presented with a new window asking you to choose an Available License or create a new one. For this example, we are going to use a license that we have made before and choose the 90-day/100-learner option. If you need help creating a new one instead, Click Me.

There are three options that you need to consider before you finish with this screen.
- Make License Active - Is this license going to be starting right now? If not leave it unchecked.
- Auto Rollover - Would you like Content Controller to automatically start this license for you based on a few conditions? Click for more on Auto Rollover
- What date is this license supposed to become effective? *This would usually be the same day as the last day of the current license.
Once you have the license configured how you like, click Attach.
You can confirm that the new license is in place by looking at the license section. The license with the green check mark is the active license.
Now let's move to the Limit by Content type.
The only step here that changes is where to go to add a new license.
Navigate to the account with the content you want to work with. Go to the content section of the account, and click on the content you are working on. This will bring up a details panel on the right. Click on the licenses section and then click add. This will bring you to the same license section as mentioned above.
After you have added the new license you can confirm that it is there by checking in the Course Details Licenses section.
