Captivate - I'm getting a result of "This project has expired"


Recently, we received a support ticket citing:

"I have a Captivate 8 course that shows only a Captivate icon and the statement "this project has expired" when I try to proof it in SCORM Cloud.  What could cause this statement?"

You are likely getting that message because your Captivate course was created with a demo version of Captivate 8. Each of their projects has an internal clock that will turn itself off when the demo version expires.  You can read more about that error here.  That link also provides details on how to update the .CPTX file if you have upgraded to a licensed version of Captivate.
