Rustici Software Accessibility Conformance Report

Revised Section 508 Edition

(Based on VPAT® Version 2.4)

Name of Product/Version:

Content Controller v3.1 (Learner interface only)

Report Date:

June 2021

Product Description:

Content Controller is a web application for the centralized management and distribution of learning content to learning management systems (LMSs) and other learning applications. It solves the problem of making learning content available to learners across multiple LMSs while maintaining visibility and control over how the content is used and maintaining content in one location.

Contact Information:

Please direct inquiries about Content Controller’s accessibility features to support@rusticisoftware.com.

Notes:

This report covers only the learner-visible interfaces of the Content Controller application, which are:

  • The language selection page for Equivalents (multiple courses covering the same material in different languages, and presented as a single launchable package to the receiving LMS).
  • Informative pages shown when a course cannot be delivered, either due to customer-configured limits or an error.
  • Page selection and zoom controls for PDF courses.
  • Playback controls for MP4 video and MP3 audio courses, which are provided by native browser HTML elements.

Customers may change the appearance of these interfaces, which may impact their accessibility. This report covers only their default appearance as delivered by Rustici Software.

The majority of a typical learner’s interaction with Content Controller is with customer-provided content, not with any user interfaces provided by Content Controller. Ensuring the accessibility of customer-provided content is the responsibility of the customer.

Evaluation Methods Used:

We test Content Controller’s learner interfaces with existing product knowledge, web browsers, and assistive technologies, such as screen readers.
