xAPI rate limiting in SCORM Cloud

Recently, we enabled xAPI rate limiting in SCORM Cloud in order to protect the stability of SCORM Cloud against excessive traffic.

If the rate limiting is having a negative effect on your application or product, there are some possible solutions to explore:

  • Implementing retry logic in your application, to retry any request rejected with an HTTP 429 response
  • Enqueueing your requests, and limiting the request to a rate at or below the rate limit
  • Upgrading your account to a paid account, which provides higher rate limits
