Brainshark Content Not Working from the IBM Portal


We recently received a support request from a client trying to run Brainshark content through a Saba LMS.  The content fails when calling LMSInitialize throwing an error that states "There was an error initializing communication with the LMS".  When we tested the content in SCORM Cloud, it ran fine and passed all of the information back to the LMS that it should.


Answer:  After some research on the LMS side, Saba found that it was an issue with the Saba Certificate, it is used for inter-process communication within Saba.

“The issue has been resolved by Saba. The update we received is that Saba content team found an issue with Saba Certificate, used for inter-process communication within Saba, and they fixed it.
