Question
If I need to track what specific page a user has reached in a module of a training course, so that I can enable them to return to the exact page where they left off when they log back in again, will Scorm 1.2 do this for me or will I need Scorm 2004? Thank you,
Answer
Both SCORM 1.2 and all the flavors of SCORM 2004 include the ability to support what is commonly called bookmarking. In each case, this has to be initiated by the content. In SCORM 1.2, it involves the setting and getting of "cmi.core.lesson_location". In SCORM 2004, the vocabulary element is "cmi.location".
