Basically I already have a tool to add users/candidates, track their status, send updates and emails, all I want to be able to do with scorm cloud is allow them to take specific SCORM Compliant training modules. I don't want to have to re-create them inside the SC admin area, I don't want to send emails through the SC admin area because this would be duplicated functionality. I just want them to be able to launch the instrument via a link on my CMS. Is this possible? I can pass in some sort of unique ID to verify that it is the same participant.
This is absolutely what the SCORM Cloud API is for. You'll need to upload the SCORM material to Cloud and then create a registration, and then launch that registration.Take a look at our client libraries and the same applications to get an idea of how to do this.
