Content Controller: Bundles, Licensing content as a group.

Avatar
Bundles allow you to group content for simpler licensing. For example, You have someone who wants to license half your catalog for six months and the other half for one year. Instead of assigning each piece of content to their account with its own license, you can group the courses in bundles and assign each bundle its own license.

Let's create a new bundle!

  1. Click on Accounts.f7dc6bf4-6c77-11ef-bcbe-0e337e53ca8a.png
  2. Click on Bundles.f7bef31c-6c77-11ef-9f57-ae828adb7371.png
  3. Click on + Add and Bundle.

  4. Select the content that you would like to add to this bundle from the left side of the selection window. Then click Next. f92c5a28-6c77-11ef-a28b-de756f2d0607.png
  5. Name the bundle > Enter a description > Click Next > Confirm detail, click Create Bundle. The new bundle will now show up in your Bundles section just like you would see content in your content section.
From here you can now share the bundle to an account and create a dispatch to share. The file that will be generated is what we call a zip-of-zips. This is a zip file that will contain all a different zip file (dispatch) for each piece of Content.

With just a few clicks you are also able to add more content to a bundle after one has been created.
  1. In your bundles section, Select the bundle that you would like to add to. Click on View Content. f89464ac-6c77-11ef-b235-c2808862a2bb.png
  2. Click + ADD on the right side of the screen and add your new content just like you did step 4 above.
  3. Once you have picked your content, select Next then Add Content. You will see your new content and old content together.
Now, just like before, you go to the account that has this bundle shared with it and create a new dispatch to send out.
