We are getting the following parser warnings when we uploaded our SCORM cartridge on testtrack,
1) The Selection Control 'Selection Count' was detected on a leaf node, but is only applicable to cluster nodes.
2) The Sequencing Control Mode 'Flow' was detected on a leaf node, but is only applicable to cluster nodes.
Earlier when we used to upload our cartridge we never got these warnings.
We are getting the same warning number 1 as mentioned above for the cartridge (SequencingSimpleRemediation_SCORM20043rdEdition.zip) downloaded from the Rustici's repository.
Could you please let us know why we are facing this issue? Also could you please explain the meaning "Selection Control was detected on a leaf node" and "Sequencing Control Mode was detected on a leaf node"?
--Test Track is running a beta version of our v2009.1 release. In this release, we added a new feature to detect when sequencing rules have been defined in places where they are not relevant. For example, the "Selection Count" attribute says that when an activity with children is attempted, the learner only has to take X of Y (ex 3 of 5) of the children. If the selection count attribute is applied to an activity without children, it doesn't make any sense and the SCORM Engine ignores it. There is no harm in having these inapplicable attributes, but it might also represent a mistake that a content author wishes to correct. We included these warnings as a helpful hint to content authors that they might have accidentally misplaced an attribute (which as you can see from the golf example, is a common mistake!). They are no cause for concern if the package is behaving normally.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you,
Joe
